Installing a kit

Step-by-step install for Skills, Bots, Dots and Bundles.

Open Library in your dashboard, pick the kit and download its files. Each kit page also has its own install steps, which take priority over this general guide.

Skills

A Skill downloads as a .zip with one folder inside: a SKILL.md plus its references, templates and examples. The same zip works everywhere.

ChatGPT: go to Skills > Create > Upload from your computer and pick the zip. Mention it with @, or just describe the task.
Claude: go to Settings > Capabilities > Skills > Upload and pick the zip. In Claude Code, unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/.
Codex: unzip it into .agents/skills/ in your repo and mention it with $.
Cursor: unzip it into .cursor/skills/ in your project, or ~/.cursor/skills/ for every project.

Then ask for the task in plain words. The skill loads when the request matches its description.

Bots

A Bot is a teammate in the Grok Bot app, with a profile, saved skills and routines that run on a schedule.

If the kit page shows an Add to Grok Bot link, open it, review what the template includes and choose Add Bot. Reconnect the plugins it lists.
Otherwise, download the setup file and follow it:
1. Choose New > Create new Bot, then Edit Profile, and paste the name, label and description.
2. Paste the setup message into the Bot's conversation. It saves the skills and creates the routines, then confirms what it saved.
3. Connect the plugins from Marketplace, such as Gmail or Google Calendar.
4. Do the test run in the file before you leave routines running.

A Dot gives your ChatGPT dot, the always-on agent in ChatGPT, a new ongoing job. You need a plan with dots (ChatGPT Pro or Business Premium; on Enterprise an admin turns them on), and setup happens in the ChatGPT desktop app or a desktop browser.

Download the setup file.
Connect the apps it lists, with the permission levels it recommends (for example: read Gmail, but do not allow sending).
Paste the responsibility and the working instructions into your dot's conversation.
Add the custom rules in Settings > Personalization > Permissions > Custom rules.
Paste the check-in schedule and ask your dot to confirm it.
Review the first result together before you expand the job.

Bundles

A bundle unlocks every kit inside it and adds a playbook. Start with the playbook: it gives the setup order and shows how the Skill, the Bot and the Dot hand work to each other.

Safety

Read what a kit does before installing it. Only connect the integrations a kit actually needs, keep write actions behind approval, and never paste passwords or API keys into a kit's files or a chat.
